Court of the Crimson Horn — Edgar Markov Proxy Commander Deck

A seductive gothic Commander experience where every new Vampire strengthens the court.

Court of the Crimson Horn is a complete 100-card custom-art proxy/playtest Commander deck led by Edgar Markov. Blood-soaked cathedrals, moonlit estates, decadent vampire nobles, sinister unicorn bloodlines, and coordinated crimson artwork unite the entire deck in one dramatic visual world.

Created for casual Magic: The Gathering Commander play, the deck combines story-driven BaumDecks artwork with a professionally constructed Mardu Vampire engine. It is powerful, interactive, highly replayable, and designed to feel like a complete experience—not merely a collection of attractive custom cards.

Professionally Constructed Gameplay

Edgar Markov begins building the court from the command zone. Efficient Vampires and token makers establish a wide board, while lords, anthems, and +1/+1 counters turn that growing bloodline into lethal pressure.

• Eminence and token production: Mavren Fein, Bloodline Keeper, Elenda, Anointed Procession, and Mondrak keep the court expanding.
• Combat scaling: Legion Lieutenant, Stromkirk Captain, Captivating Vampire, Cordial Vampire, Drana, Shared Animosity, and Stensia Masquerade reward an aggressive board.
• Lifedrain and sacrifice: Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, Sanctum Seeker, Vito, Sanguine Bond, Skullclamp, and Deadly Dispute turn entering, attacking, sacrificing, and dying into value.
• Recursion and resilience: Bloodghast, Oathsworn Vampire, Edgar, Charmed Groom, Bloodline Bidding, and Reanimate help the court rebuild after removal.
• Removal and protection: Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Anguished Unmaking, Olivia's Wrath, Blasphemous Act, Boros Charm, Teferi's Protection, and Flawless Maneuver support critical turns.
• Conversion and control: Captivating Vampire, Olivia Voldaren, and New Blood recruit opposing creatures into the bloodline.

Power Level and Table Expectations

Designed for strong, optimized casual Commander—approximately a powerful Bracket 3-style experience. It can win through overwhelming combat, sustained lifedrain, or a compact combo. It is not presented as cEDH, but Edgar's Eminence ability, efficient tutors, and infinite lifedrain combinations make it stronger than a typical novelty or lightly upgraded tribal deck. Mention the tutors and combo finishes during your Rule Zero conversation.

The Crimson-Horn Kill Switch

• Bloodthirsty Conqueror + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose
• Bloodthirsty Conqueror + Sanguine Bond

Once an opponent loses life, Bloodthirsty Conqueror causes its controller to gain that much life. Vito or Sanguine Bond converts the life gain into more life loss, allowing the effects to repeat and potentially drain the table. Each piece is already a natural part of the deck's lifegain and lifedrain strategy.
