The old world ended. The engines did not.
Welcome to a wasteland of roaring war rigs, chrome angels, scavenged weapons, and alliances that last exactly as long as they are useful. At the heart of the convoy rides Khârn the Betrayer: a brutal warlord whose greatest talent is becoming somebody else’s problem.
This complete 100-card mono-red Commander proxy deck turns combat into a rolling demolition derby. Arm your threats, goad rival armies, hijack the best creature on the battlefield, and send the chaos down somebody else’s road. Control changes fuel fresh hands, stolen armies deliver spectacular reversals, and a dangerous equipment engine can turn one combat into an unending chase.
Loyalty is temporary. The wreckage is forever.
Professionally Constructed Gameplay
Early game: develop your mana and equipment. Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Mind Stone, and cost reduction help assemble the convoy; burst mana can create unusually explosive turns.
Midgame: Khârn, Slicer, and goad effects turn combat into a political puzzle. Khârn’s damage-prevention ability hands him to an opponent chosen by his current controller. The player who loses control draws two cards, so opponents can profit from passing him too. You do not automatically draw whenever any other player passes him.
Equipment makes the roaming threat more dangerous. Goad pressures creatures to attack elsewhere when able, while theft effects let you borrow a rival’s best creature for a key combat. Brand recovers permanents you own; Homeward Path returns creatures to their owners. Neither gives you permanent ownership of an opponent’s card.
Closing the game: grow the threat of commander damage with equipment and Jeska, swing a stolen army with Insurrection, or assemble Godo with Helm of the Host for repeatable combat steps. Godo can search for the Helm; Hammer of Nazahn can attach it as it enters. A fresh nonlegendary Godo copy gets its own first-attack trigger, enabling the loop if opponents do not interrupt it.
The experience is interactive, swingy, and table-dependent: negotiations, changing loyalties, and sudden combat explosions. Possibility Storm adds another layer of uncertainty. Khârn’s own commander damage can threaten you, so track who controls him and where he can attack. Helm copies are not commanders, and the original Khârn’s combat damage remains associated with that same commander across control changes.

Power and Bracket Estimate
Estimated Commander Bracket 4 (Optimized). This is a conservative starting point because the list contains the Godo + Helm of the Host repeatable-combat combo, equipment tutoring, and explosive mana. This is a deck-list assessment—not a playtested result, official certification, or guarantee of performance—and it does not claim cEDH competitiveness.
Please discuss the combo, theft, goad, and Possibility Storm with your group before play. Actual fit depends on pilot choices, opening hands, and the table.
